The One Where A Butterfly is My Companion Now

Hey ya'l!! It was a great week in Foothills YSA! Spirits are up and I am doing a lot better than last week. So so sorry if I sounded depressed in my last email. I am alive and thriving this week. Lots of awesome things happened. Let's get into it..... Some happy things and what I learned from them: • We had zone conference this week..... with a general authority, Elder Homer!! It was such a powerful zone conference. He talked a lot about being joyfully urgent without being anxious. which I needed a reminder about. I have had a lot of anxieties with just new things coming up and training and just feeling like I am not doing enough. Bu we don't need to be anxious, God has got this. We just need to have joyful urgency. • With that joyful urgency we had a really good finding week this week!! We found 20 people!! It was super cool to be able to bear my testimony of Christ and show that joyful urgency and really help the spirit to be able to touch their hearts!! • We were in an...

The One Where The Adversary Works Hard, But God Works Harder!

Hey yall!! This week was hard, not gonna lie. I think it has been the hardest weeks of my mission, but we adapt, persevere, pray, and rely on God. Let's get into it..... Some happy things and what I learned form them: • We had exchanges this week and it was much needed! I had so much fun with Sister VanderLinden! This is her second transfer and she is just so positive and has the same energy level as me. We just had a blast. • I was scared that we weren't going to be able to find anyone this week, because it was spring break and college campus's were dead. BUT the Lord provided and we were able to find 6 people without campus! Which is really amazing, because in he past we haven't been able to find anyone in neighborhoods that re YSA aged. But these people are all YSA aged! So cool! • I am grateful for our wonderful members that uplift and check on us all the time! They are the best! I needed a lot of upliftment this week and they provided! Grateful for a great ward. ...

The One Where the Mom Life is Killing Me

Hey ya'll! It was a great week in Foothills with Sister Hanes! I was kinda freaking out this week, because I have no idea how to be a missionary, but its all good, because as I told Sister Hanes, e are learning together! That probably made her feel good lol. Let's get into it..... Some happy things and what I learned from them: • I am very grateful for the friends we are teaching right now. They are just amazing and very inspiring. Khan is on date for baptism for the 23rd and we had an awesome lesson about the plan of salvation. He was just in awe. He was so happy to know that people who had died before they could know Christ are able to be saved. And then we cleared up whether or not he was still wanting to be baptized and he said "Yes! Lets move forward with that!" He's the coolest. So we are just so excited. • Ty is doing well and starting to develop a faith in Christ. What she said was this, "What is so bad about believing in Christ?" Lollll serious...

Hey ya'll! It has been a great week with some very bitter sweet moments and kind crazy moments. Transfers happened, so here is my transfer news... Sister Gariety ended her mission, so I had to say bye to my bestie today! I am staying in Foothills ysa and I am training.... ya I am absolutely terrified. My new sister comes in on Friday. Please send all the prayers please. I feel like I am a baby missionary (cuz I am). Lets get into this week.... Some happy thing and what I learned from them: • We have had some awesome lessons with our friends Aidan, Khan, and Ty this week! they are progressing so well and our ward is just so good at fellowshipping them!! • I am so grateful for Sister Gariety. She has taught me a lot about how a good friend should be. she has taught me that people need a listener and need to feel validated in their feelings. I am grateful for her example of Christlike charity for people. I am learning how to help people feel seen, heard, and understood and not an oo...
