The One Where I Was in a Dog Fight

Hey y'all! This week was so fun! I'm not really sure what exactly happened. But I'm gonna try to remember. The days are slow, but the weeks go by so fast. Let's get into it...... Some happy things and what I learned from them: • We put another one of our friends on date for baptism!! She is a youth. Super shy, but so so sweet. We are so excited! She loves the Book of Mormon and is so eager to learn more. I just look at these youth that we teach and they are just so much more mature than me. Actively seeking out religion and wanting to learn more. We take the gospel of Jesus Christ for granted so much! • I gave a talk in sacrament meeting this week on the Gospel of Jesus Christ qnd it went really well actually! Everyone go read Alma 32: 41-43. Actually just the whole chapter. So good. Talks about faith and how to grow your faith. • Sister Chappell and I went on exchanges together. We went into another Sisters' area because they have been struggling with finding a l...

The One Where We Teach All the Convicts

Hey y'all! Another week in paradise (aka the hood of Las Vegas)! It was kinda a hard week, but Another day, another dollar (aka blessing)! Let's get into it.... Some happy things and what I learned from them: • We got to stop in a go to the last little bit of our ward's relief society activity. They were making Christmas crafts. We helped them clean up and I got to chat with people. It made me realize that I have gotten to meet so many members so far! Yay! • Barbara!! We were walking in a neighborhood and saw a lady scream ranting to her friend in her garage. We usually talk to everyone, but we didn't feel good about talking to them in that moment. So instead we said that we would talk to them when we wrapped back around to their house. So we did. And she was calm. We started talking to her and she stopped. The she asked, " wait are you LDS" and we said yes and she just paused and we sat there for a sec. Turns out! She was a member. She had gotten baptized 6...

The One Where Miracles Happened in Vegas

Hey yall! Another week in Vegas and it was so good! Lovin life here in sin city and spreadin the good word of the gospel. Let's get into it... Some happy things/miracles and what I learned from them: • we were in a member meal and it started going over time and both me and Sister Seibold started to get super anxious to leave. We didn't know why. We wrapped up the member meal and lesson and rushed out to our bikes to go finding people. We rode past these girls sitting and waiting for the bus as we came out of the neighborhood. We didn't stop for some reason, then... I hear one of the girls go " I think those are the missionaries I was talking about" I stop so so fast and yell " yes! We are the missionaries, do you want to hear a message about Jesus Christ!" They were so excited. We had spirit led knocked their door and left a note and they wanted to learn more about Jesus Christ and the Book of Mormon!! WOAH! Literal miracle, that is why we felt so anxi...

Yes, it is true! I am in Vegas!!! Just got here on Friday morning, had to get up bright and early at 2:30am for our flight that morning. But I'm here now and I couldn't be happier. Let's get into it. Some happy things and what I learned from them: • My district had an amazing testimony meeting before we left. Seriously so powerful. A testimony is so powerful, never pass up an opportunity to bare you testimony, because it strengthens people around you! • I got my new companion!! Sister Seibold! She is the best! And let me tell ya, she is SeiBOLD! I am so excited to learn from her and her boldness and willingness to serve Christ and bring everyone to this gospel. • I got to meet a few people we are teaching and some members. I met this one family that we are teaching who has 6 kids!! They want to be sealed, but we haven't seen much progression from them. But yesterday they really committed to coming to church. Let's pray they keep their commitments. • OK but like mi...
