The One Where Sister Rose Just Got to Vegas Baby

Yes, it is true! I am in Vegas!!! Just got here on Friday morning, had to get up bright and early at 2:30am for our flight that morning. But I'm here now and I couldn't be happier. Let's get into it.

Some happy things and what I learned from them:
• My district had an amazing testimony meeting before we left. Seriously so powerful. A testimony is so powerful, never pass up an opportunity to bare you testimony, because it strengthens people around you!
• I got my new companion!! Sister Seibold! She is the best! And let me tell ya, she is SeiBOLD! I am so excited to learn from her and her boldness and willingness to serve Christ and bring everyone to this gospel.
• I got to meet a few people we are teaching and some members. I met this one family that we are teaching who has 6 kids!! They want to be sealed, but we haven't seen much progression from them. But yesterday they really committed to coming to church. Let's pray they keep their commitments.
• OK but like missionary work and finding people and working with people is so fun!
• I have seen so many miracles even just in the few days I have been here. People are ready to hear about the Savior and their Heavenly Father. I just love being a missionary.

Some hard things and what I learned from them:
• Missionary work is hard. But I also love it. It is so scat talking to everyone. Literally every single person we see, we talk to. Sister Seibold is so good at this. She is pushing me to be better at it.
• People don't keep commitments and it's so frustrating. They don't show up for lessons, they don't come to church when they say they will, and it's so frustrating! Of they realized the magnitude of importance of what we are teaching them, then they would keep every commitment! But people are people. And we make mistakes and that os what the Atonement of Jesus Christ is for.
• I am learning that it is so hard to teach simply. I am working on that.
• I miss my family a lot, but I am doing the greatest thing I can be doing right now.

Some funny things that made me laugh:
• Soooo the day that I got picked up by Sister Seibold from the new missionary training meeting. We found out that our roommate companionship had covid (only one of them) so we had to move out that night! And we took the other sister in the companionship and we became a trio. So we welcomed Sister Chappell. We have had so much fun together hahaha. We have been covering two areas and just having an absolute blast together. They are both hilarious and just my cup of tea.
• We are a biking area and my butt has still not gotten used to a bike. Wow it hurts. And I have ran into a few bushes.

Drum roll please............ Sister Rose time!!
The gospel of Jesus Christ is seriously amazing. It changes people's lives. People are happier when they have their gospel. I have been able to see a glimpse of that and I am so grateful for that opportunity.

Everyone go read Moroni 10:32

We can literally be perfected in Him and His gospel

Love yall! Gotta go! Have a great week

Love,
Sister Rose
