The One Where I Was in a Dog Fight
Hey y'all! This week was so fun! I'm not really sure what exactly happened. But I'm gonna try to remember. The days are slow, but the weeks go by so fast. Let's get into it......
Some happy things and what I learned from them:
• We put another one of our friends on date for baptism!! She is a youth. Super shy, but so so sweet. We are so excited! She loves the Book of Mormon and is so eager to learn more. I just look at these youth that we teach and they are just so much more mature than me. Actively seeking out religion and wanting to learn more. We take the gospel of Jesus Christ for granted so much!
• I gave a talk in sacrament meeting this week on the Gospel of Jesus Christ qnd it went really well actually! Everyone go read Alma 32: 41-43. Actually just the whole chapter. So good. Talks about faith and how to grow your faith.
• Sister Chappell and I went on exchanges together. We went into another Sisters' area because they have been struggling with finding a little bit. So we just found the. Entire. Day. It was actually so fun!! And we found 8 people all together by the end of the day! Sis Chappell and I found 5 of them!! It was so needed. I learned that I can do missionary work without my trainer! I don't need to rely on her as much!
• We met a really cool guy who was homeless for like 10 years and then found Jesus Christ and changed his life. It was so cool to talk to him and hear his story. The Atonement of Jesus Christ is HOPE!! I love it and am so grateful for it.
• The family of 6 kids is still working towards baptism!! We are trying to get the mom and oldest 2 daughters on date. The oldest daughters are so interested now!! I love it! They're family is literally my favorite!! So so fun.
• We had 5 whole Thanksgiving dinners! It was so so fun! Two were Hawaiian, one was southern, one was Phillipino/Indian, and the last one was just yo typical white American family thanksgiving. So so fun!
Some hard things and what I learned from them:
• One of our friends is having such a hard time in life. Satan is WORKING hard on him. Financially struggling, his mom is very negative to him, his kid has been so sick, and not doing good in college. I just feel so so bad for him. We aren't sure how to help at all. And he has pushed us away because of all the negativity. Ugh it's so sad. I just know that if he turns to Jesus Christ he will find rest. In Matthew 11:28-30, we can find rest in Jesus Christ.
• Sister Seibold gave her departing testimony at zone conference yesterday. It's gettin real. But you know what, it's gonna be ok. Bc it is.
Some funny things that made me laugh:
• Now for the title!!! This actually made me laugh so hard. Anyways, so Sister Chappell and I were in the other sisters' area and we went to this referrals house. We start walking up to it and we see the family outside talking. And then we see their dog.... it makes eye contact with us and starts ferociusly barking and growling at us and then BOLTS at us! Sister Chappell and I split ways and so the dog ran right inbetween us. Then it turns around, looks at me a bolts at me and bites my sweater as it runs at me. It looks at me again with a piece of my sweater in its mouth and starts running at me again! It gets close to me and I yell "NO!!" And it just stops, right there infront of me. Then Sister Chappell asks for the person we were looking for and we walk away lol. I was in SHOCK i was laughing and crying at the same time. It was just so funny that i had been attacked by a dog lollll.
• We were riding our bikes back to our apartment and there is like this ledge from the sidewalk to the dirt and then a hill. I accidentally went off the sidewalk and. Then fell down the little hill on my bike lol. I am so bad at steering my bike, bc its a lil too tall for me.
• In Zone conference I accidentally dropped my pen behind us like 3 times. Then we were all talking in groups and stuff and Sister Seibold and I were joking about chucking my pen back behind us again. But then the pen hit the chair infront and went flying up in the air like 10 feet!! Hahahaha and then it hit one of the elders oops bahahhaa. We were DYING

Drum roll please

Sister Rose time!!!!!

Sister Rose time!!!!!At zone conference we read in Alma 26. AMAZING chapter and is so great for any soon to be missionary or already missionary. I love love love verse 12.
"12 Yea, I know that I am nothing; as to my strength I am weak; therefore I will not boast of myself, but I will boast of my God, for in his strength I can do all things; yea, behold, many mighty miracles we have wrought in this land, for which we will praise his name forever."
Everything person we find or baptize is because of Heavenly Father. He pours his spirit upon them and puts them in the right place at the right time and us at the right place at the right time. And the spirit teaches, not even us. So we can only boast of our God.
I love y'all,
