The One Where It's a Zoo Out Here

Hey y'all!! Another great week in Henderson! I am almost at my 5 month mark. Which is actually really weird, because I feel like I just got here like 2 days ago. But that's ok, it wouldn't be as fun if I was just good at everything. I bet you are dying to hear what happened tis week. Let's get into it.... Some happy things and what I learned from them : • We had absolutely FIRE lessons with our progressing friends this week! Ty and Khan are moving along quite nicely. Ty has struggled with knowing if there is one or multiple Gods and we are just trying to help her grow her faith in just a Heavenly father who loves us. She said that ever since meeting with us she has really felt him watching over her. It is so cool that she is recognizing the spirit, because it takes people sooo long to actually recognize him. I just love our friends that we are teaching right now!! Khan literally asks us to give him a chapter to read all the time! It is so cool to see. Sometimes I forg...

The One Where I Learned

Hey ya'll!! It was a wonderful week in the YSA ward. I love this ward so much. Lets get into it.... Some happy things and what I learned from them: • We had an awesome Zone conference on Wednesday!! #grateful for other missionaries! It is so so fun to get together with people that can relate and just buoy you up. And I learned so much from the trainings and discussions that we had. LOVE IT!! • We have been building awesome relationships with the members by bringing them out with u to find on campus! It is so fun to get to know our members (especially because we are the same age as them) and give them advice about life (even though they all pretty much have careers and lives and I am a little 20 year old). I LOVE OUR MEMBERS • We met a girl named Ty on CSN campus last week. She said that she used to live with some members and said she really wants to come to church with us!! We texted her the church info and she said she would be there! Little did we know that she walked an HOUR t...

Hey ya'll!! This is gonna be a quick one, because I literally procrastinated this so hard. BUTT this was a great week in the Foothills YSA ward!! Let's get into it.... Some happy things and what I learned from them: • We put our friend Khan on date for baptism!! We are so excited. We found him about 2 weeks ago on CSN campus and he is just so prepared. Our Heavenly Father puts so many amazing people in our path and he is our miracle! He loves the Book of Mormon and reads even more than we assign to him every time! He is awesome! We put him on date for March 9th and he is very excited to learn more and continue to progress! We were worried, because he said that he has been baptized before, but he has gained a testimony of the priesthood and proper authority, which is literally an answer to our prayers! The Lord's work is perfect through Him!! We are so excited! • Yesterday we street contacted this guy while on campus with a member. He said that he is not the right person t...

Hey yall! It was a great week in the Foothills YSA ward! Many miracles and joy was witnessed and I am grateful! Let's get into it.... Some happy things and what I learned from them: • This week we found 15 new people to teach!! It was so happy and fun! We have made a huge improvement from the first week that I came, because before we had to stop teaching all but like 3 of our people. It was sad, so we are climbing back up and God is answering our mighty prayers for this area! • One of our members is literally the cutest and sweetest ever, well a lot of them are, but still. I have so much gratitude for Kaylee. She is so involved in the work and so willing to help us all the time and checks on our friends. It is awesome. I want to be her when I grow up. I love when members are involved in the work, it makes me feel supported in my calling! • We yelled down the street to an amazon driver that was delivering a package. He stopped and apologized for not being able to stop and talk. Bu...
