The One Where We Are Here to Save

Hey yall!! It was such a great week. I just had a blast. Let's get into it.......

Some happy things and what I learned from them:
• We are teaching the cutest family! The dad is a member, but has been inactive since he was 14. He asked us to come and teach his wife about what happens after we die last week (remember?) and this week he asked us to teach her about the purpose of life! So we did and we invited her to be baptized. She said that she wants to be baptized!! Such a miracle! We are excited for Dylan and Larissa!
• We found a Raiders football player and he is excited to learn about the Plan of Salvation! We will keep you updated on him! His name is Amari if you want to send me his stats or something. He was whippin out of his driveway to go to practice and we waved him down!!
• Sister Broberg and I found 6 people in our area on exchanges! It was a blast!
• Then Sister Haughey and I found 9 people on exchanges in her area! Many miracles on exchanges!
• We had such a fun time at zone conference yesterday! We had some trainings and roleplays with some awesome consequences!! A third of the missionaries got pied in the face at the end lollll

Some hard things and what I learned from them:
• We have felt a little bit of disappointment in ourselves the past few weeks, because we haven't really had any people progressing towards baptism. But! Yesterday was a joyous day and we were able to invite Larissa and we just felt so much joy for her. And joy from our Heavenly Father. During the lesson I was praying to know if we should invite her to be baptized and this quote came to my mind by the spirit " If you spend so much time worried about offending someone then you will never really save them!" I know I have heard a quote like that from on of our prophets or PMG pr something. But I don't remember where. BUT we invited her and she was so excited!

Some funny things that made me laugh:
• We had a lady in our ward just rant to us about all this stuff about her son. And then she goes, "ok, no tell me if I am being selfish or not." Dead serious. Lol. Cant do that lady. We can only teach about the gospel.... so how about you pray about it.
• At thanksgiving dinner we talked about pickleball and it was hilarious and awesome. This family that we ate with lives, breathes, and sleeps pickleball.
• One of our friends' cats catch mice and tear them apart and then leave the head and guts on the front door step, so that was a great sight to see lollll. Picture included.

Drum roll pleaseπŸ₯πŸ₯πŸ₯πŸ₯Sister Rose time!!
You only get the word of God today, you're welcome!
2 Nephi 2:8
"Wherefore, how great the importance to make these things known unto the inhabitants of the earth, that they may know that there is no flesh that can dwell in the presence of God, save it be through the merits, and mercy, and grace of the Holy Messiah, who layeth down his life according to the flesh, and taketh it again by the power of the Spirit, that he may bring to pass the resurrection of the dead, being the first that should rise."

I love yall
Sister Rose
