The One Where It's Christmas!!!

HEY YALL!! Merry Christmas!! I hope you all are having a great Christmas and enjoying family time! Yay I just love Christmas. Its good, but hard being being away for Christmas. Lets get into my week....

Some happy things and what I learned from them:
• We met the cutest grandma ever! She is so funny and honestly i could talk for hours with her. We taught her a few lessons and cleared up a lot of misconceptions that people have about the church. And then laughed and talked for a while. We call her like every other day and she rants and tells us about her life and I just love it hahaha.
• We have been getting SO MUCH Christmas treats and goodies and gifts. Its practically coming out of our ears at this point. But it is so sweet! We love our ward!!
• Tray, our recent convert, got caroled to by one of the families in our ward and he said that he will never forget it. He was so happy when he told us about it!! I want to go caroling and give treats to all the people when i get home, because it truly does make people feel so happy and loved.
• We got to wrap presents for our ward mission leaders family! It was such a fun service to do and broke up the proselyting, regular missionary work. We enjoyed it and got to chat with Sister Johnson! Love her.
• Our recent convert Trays whole family got to come to church on Sunday. We have been praying with the Lockharts for a while now to help Danielle (the mom) have Sundays off and guess what?!? She got Sundays off for the month of January. Prayer works!! So she can get baptized soon hopefully!!

Some funny things that made me laugh:
• Soooo if anyone didn't know, I sleep walk. Yes, I'm weird. We already knew that. Well Sister Rasmussen now knows that, because 2 nights ago I was sleep walking and woke up to me grabbing ahold of the tree. I slightly remember that lol. And then we wake up in the morning and the Christmas tree is knocked over and taken apart ahhaha. Oops
• Our poor ward. It is so tiny, like maybe 30 active members. None of which have very much musical talent. But they try. We had 3 musical numbers this Sunday for Christmas. All of which were singing and all of which were pretty horrible singing. But they tried and that's what counts.
• We street contacted this guy and asked if he wanted to hear a scripture about Jesus Christ. He goes, " Ya I believe in aliens too!". Ok sir, you don't have to be like that. I just started laughing when he said that to us. So out of pocket.

Some hard things and what I learned from them:
• We had a very rainy missionary day. That was kinda painful, because it surprisingly is still cold in Vegas. We still keep the work goin rain or shine. It was good though!!
• We had a hard time finding people that will listen to us yet again. I was still having a good attitude and being so diligent. And I started really questioning why we weren't finding people. And then I read Alma 8 for personal study. And I almost screamed during personal study!! Because it seemed like it was literally written for me. In this chapter, Alma goes to teach the people in Ammonihah and they are rejecting him left and right. He leaves the city and is sad. But an angel comes to him and tells him to "lift up his head and rejoice" because he has been diligent in keeping the commandments of God and he will be blessed. He is told to turn back and teach the people again. So he does that and then finds Amulek!! And Amulek then listens to him and helps him and teaches with him. Soooooooo Sister Rasmussen and I turned back and went to the people of las Vegas again and we found 5 PEOPLE this week!! I love the scriptures!!

I already kinda did a spiritual thought above, so just read that. But also, Jesus loves you! He died for you! Our Heavenly Father loves you! He knows us! He cares about us! MERRY CHRISTMAS!! πŸŽ„
