Sister Emma Rose - Nevada Las Vegas Mission

  Hey y'all!! First week in Henderson and it was THE BEST! The Foothills YSA ward has the most quirkiest people in it and I am loving it! I have the best comp ever and I am just so so happy! Lets get into it...... Some happy things and what I learned from them: • I love campus finding! We have two college campuses in our area and it is the best!! We just get to talk about Jesus to so so many college students who are looking for peace! We had a miracle day yesterday. We had a member come and help us campus find. We were struggling with finding earlier in the week, but we found 6 PEOPLE on campus yesterday! Like every person who we asked to share a message about Jesus Christ said YES! It was so cool!! We went from having 5 people in our teaching pool to 11!!! Yay! • We talk to EVERYONE! And its actually kind of a game for me to see the most awkward/crazy situations i can stop somebody to talk to them. I think I hit my record yesterday.   Hey ya"ll! I am leaving Las Vegas..... to go to Henderson! Transfers were this week, so I will be moving to Henderson to the Foothills YSA ward tomorrow. I am so so sad to leave Sierra Ranch, North Las Vegas, and Sister Rasmussen. But I am excited to go to Henderson and be with Sister Garity!! Lets get into it....... Some happy things and what I have learned from them: • Yes yes, I chopped my hair!! And you can see in the pictures. We went to the Lockharts and Ai'Jayane told me that it makes me look shorter and it makes Sister Rasmussen look more Canadian. So idk what that is supposed to mean lol. • I saw a guy getting into his car and I started taking to him. He JUMPED, he told us that he thought we were gang bangers, but it turns out we were just gang bangers for the Lord lol.   Hey y'all!! Hope your week was good!! It was another good one in North Las Vegas!! Let's get into it.... Some happy things and what I learned from them: • AI'JAYANE IS #BAPTIZED!!! It was such a good baptism. Even though Tray had to baptize her 3 times because she would float up and then he also didn't say her first name one time. She is the newest member of the Sierra Ranch ward!! We are so excited for her. She was just beaming the entire time. My favorite quote was when she said, "My baptism filled my heart with so much joy!" Eeeekkk I'm so happy for her. • We went over to the Lockharts to give them some car seats and ended up having an impromptu lesson with them. And we put Danielle on date for the 3rd of February!! I might not be there, because transfers happen in 10 days. But it is still so so happy. She is the coolest lady. Some happy things and what I learned from them: • Ai'jayane's baptism is this weekend!! We are so excited and she is too!! We had a lesson with her yesterday and she started doing a cute little giddy shriek when we told her it was this weekend! She is so ready to be baptized. And we are already prepared for it, so no crazy crunch time this time like my last two baptisms lol. And her dad Tray is going to baptize her!! I just love the joy that Ai'jayane feels about the gospel! • President Vance invited us all to invite someone to be baptized every day this week. That is scary lol. But we decided to take on the challenge. We asked someone to be baptized or prepare for baptism pretty much every day this week.
