The One Where I Am Leaving
Hey ya"ll! I am leaving Las Vegas..... to go to Henderson! Transfers were this week, so I will be moving to Henderson to the Foothills YSA ward tomorrow. I am so so sad to leave Sierra Ranch, North Las Vegas, and Sister Rasmussen. But I am excited to go to Henderson and be with Sister Garity!! Lets get into it.......
Some happy things and what I have learned from them:
• Yes yes, I chopped my hair!! And you can see in the pictures. We went to the Lockharts and Ai'Jayane told me that it makes me look shorter and it makes Sister Rasmussen look more Canadian. So idk what that is supposed to mean lol.
• I saw a guy getting into his car and I started taking to him. He JUMPED, he told us that he thought we were gang bangers, but it turns out we were just gang bangers for the Lord lol. I guess
He was so funny, maybe not totally there in the head, but everyone deserves Jesus and to know that God loves them. I really enjoyed talking to him and he showed up to church and told the bishop about how we were gang bangers for the Lord lolll. I don't know if he should be driving actually, come to think of it.

• we had some many miracles with finding!! Let's talk about inspired planning now. Sister Rasmussen and I are terrible at following our schedule. We plan to go knock doors in one neighborhood and always seem to end up in another. But on Thursday I put in a backup for a lesson that was nowhere near where the lesson was. So when the lesson fell through we felt like we really needed to go to this neighborhood even though it was inconvenient. And I said we needed to golden five knock this one members house. So we did it, and their neighbors turned out to be the sweetest young family and they're looking for a church to go to! So cool.
• we got to help organize one of our members kitchen cabinets as a service this week and it was so fun
Some hard things and what I learned from them:
• WHY WONT ANYONE COME TO CHURCH!!! We knocked all our friends doors on Saturday night and confirmed that they were coming to church and they all said yes. Welp, guess how many show up to church. Un persona!! We even trekked in the mud and rain to walk with someone and they canceled at the door. Um what!? But you know what. I got to church, I partook of the sacrament. And that is what matters. Sometimes I forget to focus on church and my covenants at church when I am so worried about our friends. Its all ok.
• Rain. I realized that I have weatheral depression. Its a disease where when it is raining, it just makes your life horrible. Jkjk, its not that bad, but I do not like biking and proselyting in the rain. And we had to do it for 3 days this week. Fun. Except, Sister Rasmussen did make me dance in the rain and that was fun. When life gives you lemons am i right. Sorry for complaining about moisture when i literally live in a desert y"all.
• I have to say bye to the Lockharts tonight. And i don't think i can do it!! I just don't know!!
Some funny things that made me laugh:
• This was really sad but also really funny. It was raining so hard right. Well we were biking in the rain and were late for a lesson, so we were biking so fast. Sister Rasmussen wiped out SO HARD right in front of me and hit her face on the concrete. It was so sad, but also looked so epic.
• The one person that came to church on Sunday thought that church was EVERYDAY! So he showed up to church yesterday! Lollll poor guy. But love the effort.
• I accidentally police knocked on someone's door and scared them so bad!! Oops. I guess i need to control my knocks a little bit.
• Members who get into arguments at dinners in front of the missionaries make me giggle so hard. Like literally save it for later.
Drum roll please

Sister Rose time!!

Sister Rose time!!I have literally no time today, because I have been packing. So just go read the Book of Mormon today. Even just one verse, because it will uplift you much more than I can because it is literally the word of God. I love the Book of Mormon and I know that it is true! I am so grateful for the knowledge that i gain of my Savior by reading it. #grateful
I love y'all!
