The One Where Jesus Christ Is a German Shepherd I Guess

Hey yall!  Another great week full of many miracles and tender mercies!! I love being a missionary. It is really helping me to know what my priorities in life really are and how much the Lord is really aware of me! Let's get into it..... Some happy things and what I learned from them: • Saany passed is interview for baptism this week! He is getting baptized on Saturday so stay tuned for that!! He is so cool. I don't know if I have told yall his story yet. He went to seminary his entire life and the one day he pulled over the elders as they were walking and he told them that he wanted to be baptized!! So cool. The elders just barely passed him over to us and he is now THRIVING in the YSA. the ward members love him. • We talked briefly about the plan of salvation when we first met this one guy we are teaching, Carlos. He was super intrigued by it. We met with him again and we talked about heaven and how God love us so much that he wouldn't want any of us to go to hell. This...

The One Where I Can't Remember Anything

Hey yall! It was a great week here in Henderson with my new companion Sister Stoddart. We are doing well! And thriving! Let's get into it...... Some happy things and what I learned from them: • We have another friend on date for this weekend!! His name is Saany and he is so cool. The elders passed him off to us. So now we are teaching him, which is really stressful, because we just met him and we have to plan his baptism and teach the rest of the principles. #cramsessionbaptism. Literally pray for us. But the way the elders met him was so cool. He pulled over in his car and told them that he had been to seminary his whole life and wanted to be baptized. Literally so cool. • Sister Stoddart is the best!! I love her so much! We are literally so similar and she knows all my weird little quotes that I say and where they are from. Its crazy! • I really enjoyed walking around this week and just talking to everyone. We met some really cool people and got to lift peoples spirits, even if...

The One Where There are Too Many Arsenists in Vegas

Hey yall!!!  We got transfer news this morning. I have been praying so hard to stay in this area and guess what!?!?! I am staying in the Foothills YSA ward!! I am so excited, because we have so many good things happening here! Sadly Sister Hanes is leaving and is actually going to another YSA in Henderson! I am getting a new companion, Sister Stoddart and I have talked with her a few times and she's the best, so I am so excited!! Yayay. But lets get into it...... Some happy things and what I learned from them: • We met Dana a week and a half ago, she was a referral from the elders. We met with her for a lesson and felt her spirit right away. We invited her to come watch general conference with us and she came to BOTH sessions on Sunday. She was amazed by the beauty of the temples. She came to FHE on Monday night and since then has gone to other activities that the ward members have invited her to! When we met for her second lesson she had already started reading the Book of Mormon ...

The One Where I Didn't Hit 6 Months, YOU DID!!

Hey yall!! Another week in college with the YSA ward!! They are the best and I love it here so much. Next week is transfer week, so stay tuned to see if I stay or go!! Also, I hit 6 meses on my mission today. So weird. I don't know how I feel about it. Butttt..Let's get into it...... Some happy things and what I learned from them: • We had an awesome lesson with Aidan on Thursday night! First of all, we found a member that finally clicked with Aidan!! #fellowshiptobesties!! And second of all, we PUT HIM ON DATE!! His baptismal date is May 4th!! I may have said "May the fourth be with you" and that helped him to choose the date!! We read through Mosiah 18 about when those people we were baptized and how happy and desirous they were to "enter into the fold of God." It was cool, you could see him open up and begin to realize the importance of baptism. That it is not just a pool party, but a promise with God that tells Him you are willing to follow him and he ...
