The One Where Jesus Christ Is a German Shepherd I Guess

 Hey yall!

Another great week full of many miracles and tender mercies!! I love being a missionary. It is really helping me to know what my priorities in life really are and how much the Lord is really aware of me! Let's get into it.....

Some happy things and what I learned from them:
• Saany passed is interview for baptism this week! He is getting baptized on Saturday so stay tuned for that!! He is so cool. I don't know if I have told yall his story yet. He went to seminary his entire life and the one day he pulled over the elders as they were walking and he told them that he wanted to be baptized!! So cool. The elders just barely passed him over to us and he is now THRIVING in the YSA. the ward members love him.
• We talked briefly about the plan of salvation when we first met this one guy we are teaching, Carlos. He was super intrigued by it. We met with him again and we talked about heaven and how God love us so much that he wouldn't want any of us to go to hell. This really resonated with him and he was so grateful to know that God loved us so much and has a perfect plan for us. (Read my spiritual thought at the bottom for more info) It was just a really cool lesson and he is so excited to learn more!
• During weekly planning, we got a call from random number. He said that he ghosted us in the past, but he was ready to come to church, make a change in his life, and include Jesus in that!! We set up a chapel tour and he came, with 3 other people who were YSA aged!! So cool!! They came to church on Sunday and just loved it! Literal miracles in the land. God has just been plopping people literally right out of the sky!!
• This cute little mom and son grilling burgers outside and enjoying the nice weather together just really brought me joy this week. They were so kind and she just seemed like the best mom ever!

Some hard things and what I learned from them:
• This week really was a great week. So many good thigs happened. and we had a lot of fun. But I think my mission in general has made me realize that I do struggle with a little bit of anxiety. I have never known that about myself, but the mission just has a lot of situations where you are so exposed and feel so inadequate and just it is a lot sometimes. The beginning of this week was a doozy. I just stressed way too much about things that were completely out of my control and just felt like I didn't do enough, even though I did all I could do. But Sister Stoddart and I listened to the talk "the imperfect harvest" about 10 times this week (you should give it a listen). It really helped me to remember that this is truly the Lord's work. I need to do my best and He will do the rest. He has promised us that and He literally can and will do His own work, I just need to trust in Him more. I am going to work on that this week. Just let it gooooo. Like I always say, It's not that deep!!
• Everyone pray for Dana!! Her hip is injured and she is in a lot of pain. Doing well spiritually, which is good, just in a lo of pain and it is preventing us from having lessons with her :(

Some funny things that made me laugh:
• We are teaching this cute girl named Kelly. She doesn't have much of a background with Jesus Christ. But she is just the cutest and the most random person ever!! I love her. She is so quirky. But Sister Stoddart told her about the comparison of Jesus being the "good shepherd" and she goes "Not to get off topic. Buttt does that have anything to do with a German shepherd?" Um no lol. That is a type of dog. Love ya Kelly. I just love quirky people.
• We had a lesson in the bathroom this week. That was a first for me. I have had a lot on curbs and rocks and sidewalks, but never a bathroom until this week. It was dope.
• We knocked a door, a lady answered. I said, "We are the local missionaries, we are wondering if you know anyone in the area who needs a prayer or service" she SCREAMSSSS and says "IM AN ATHEIST AHHHHH" and then slams the door like we were some kind of alien or virus. It was weird, but we got a good laugh out of it. People are cray cray.
• We were walking around an apartment complex and we saw a group of like three cats. They were really cute, but I hate cats and am kinda scared of them. Sister Stoddart proceeded to pick up one the cats and it lovedddd it!! She followed us around the rest of the night and would brush against our legs at every door we stopped at. It was so funny! We named it Daphne (lol. Sister Gariety's name, LOVE YA mwuah)

Drum roll please🥁🥁🥁🥁🥁Sister Rose time!!!
I was thinking a lot about the Plan of Salvation this week, God's plan for us. So many people have questions like "what is the purpose of life? Where do I go after I die? Why would God let his children go to hell? Why am I here on earth?" Well guess what, this plan answers all those questions and provides me with a lot peace knowing that God truly does love ALL of His children so much and doesn't want anyone of them to not live with Him again. I know that God has a place for all of His children and the cool part is that we get to pick where we dwell for eternity, based on how we live on earth and how much we try to become better!!So loving, and agency is the plan, Jesus Christ is central to this plan!! We all make mistakes and God knew that we were going to. So he sent His Son to be the one to take upon himself all of that, so that we could have a way to improve. SOOOO LOVING!! I know that this is God's plan. And Please reach out to me if you have any questions about what I have just talked about or if you are seeking answers to the questions above. I love you. God loves you!!

I love yall!
Sister Rose
