The One Where I Can't Remember Anything
Hey yall! It was a great week here in Henderson with my new companion Sister Stoddart. We are doing well! And thriving! Let's get into it......
Some happy things and what I learned from them:
• We have another friend on date for this weekend!! His name is Saany and he is so cool. The elders passed him off to us. So now we are teaching him, which is really stressful, because we just met him and we have to plan his baptism and teach the rest of the principles. #cramsessionbaptism. Literally pray for us. But the way the elders met him was so cool. He pulled over in his car and told them that he had been to seminary his whole life and wanted to be baptized. Literally so cool.
• Sister Stoddart is the best!! I love her so much! We are literally so similar and she knows all my weird little quotes that I say and where they are from. Its crazy!
• I really enjoyed walking around this week and just talking to everyone. We met some really cool people and got to lift peoples spirits, even if they weren't necessarily interested in the message we were sharing. We still talked to them and were able to help them to feel loved. The Savior is the perfect example of this, he was kind and charitable even when people didn't give that back to him. And he made people feel loved and seen wherever he went. Trying to do better about that!!
Some hard things and what I learned from them:
• Dana hurt her leg and is feeling very sad and scared. We have been praying so hard for her. She was progressing so well and just loves the gospel. Satan just had to go a break her freaking leg so that she wont meet with us because she is healing from the pain and feeling sad and sorry. Ughhh so pray for her that she will be healed.
• We were walking around campus with our recent convert Jhervon. He gets around by bike right now. We offered to like his bike to our car while we were out, so we did. Well when we cane back his tire had been slashed!!! Ugh so rude. I just wish people would think about what they are doing and really try to visualize how it could affect someone's life before they do something stupid and rude like that. This place and these people never cease to amaze me.
• I have been feeling very stressed lately, just over the lil things. But its ok, I have really learned this week to rely on prayer and really communicate my feelings to God. And he really does comfort me. Pretty cool.
Some funny things that made me laugh:
• I really cant remember anything really that funny this week.
• maybe something kinda funny is that somebody got a heatstroke during sacrament meeting on Sunday, because she was snuggling too much with her boyfriend in the pue lollll. I don't actually know if that was the whole reason. But they are all up on each other every week hahaha. I prolly shouldn't laugh, because I am trying to stop laughing at people when they get hurt or do something embarrassing. But its just kinda funny. Sorry.
Drum roll please

Sister RoseI have been studying spiritual gifts this week from my patriarchal blessing and just from the scriptures. One spiritual gift is super super cool that I really want to develop more. And that is the spiritual gift of believing the words of those who testify of Christ. It is so cool to know that this is a spiritual gift. It comes with faith and I feel like I have really been developing this gift a lot lately. I love hearing peoples testimonies and it really does confirm my testimony as well!! So here, test and strengthen this gift right now!!
I know that Jesus Christ is my Savior. I know that he has suffered for all of my sins so that I can live with my Heavenly Father again. This means everything to me. He loved me so much that he was willing to suffer everything for me so that this life doesn't mean the end for me. So that I can become a better person. And so that I can perfected through Him. I am grateful for my Heavenly Fathers perfect plan for me. And I don't know where I would be or what I would be doing without this knowledge!! I say these things in the name of my Savior, Jesus Christ. Amen.
I love yall!!
