The One Where God Is Aware Of You

Hey yall! Another great week. Also, happy mothers day to all the mothers out there!! Especially you Momma Rose. You da best. Let' get into it.....

Some happy things and what I learned from them:
• My first transfer in the Foothills YSA ward, Sister Gariety and I watched a kid wreck a dirt bike while we were in a neighborhood. We said a prayer with him and got his info to contact him. Fast forward to Sunday night we were walking around a neighborhood that we felt inspired to go to that wasn't planned in. We were walking around the neighborhood and Sister Stoddart felt like we should walk around the neighborhood and look for people that were in their garages. I was like ok sure. So we did. We saw a guy get out of his truck and we yelled out to him. We asked if anyone needed a prayer right now. He said actually ya, my son does. So he took us inside to say a prayer with him. When we walked in, the kid and I made eye contact and he just goes "No WAY! NO WAY! NOW WAY!". He was the kid that Sister Gariety and I had prayed with my first transfer. But this time he was in a wheelchair, because he had gotten in a motorcycle accident and broken his leg, clavicle, and arm. Like really bad, his clavicle was sticking out of his skin. Anyways. We were wiggin out because I had been there the last time and now in a different neighborhood on a different side of town we were there to say a prayer with him again. It was crazy. God is so aware of us and just puts these miracles in our lives to let us know he is there. We said a prayer with Adrian and their family. God is real.
• Sister Stoddart and I got a call from our vehicle coordinator. He goes " we are taking your car away..... and we are giving you a brand new one!" So there ya go, we have a brand new Toyota Venza. Its the little things in life!!
• For mothers day, the Elders quorum in our ward made a waffles, eggs and potatoes breakfast for all of us sisters. It was so sweet. They even served it to us. Literally sweetest thing ever!
• our recent convert Saany got the priesthood on sunday. He is absolutely thriving.
• We had Zone conference and it was awesome!! Got to see some of my fav people. We had awesome discussions and trainings!! Gotta love missionary prom!!

Some hard things and what I learned from them:
• it was a hard week for finding new people to teach, but I read Alma 26:27 and learned that I just need to be patient
• lots of our friends are ghosting us right now. Sad. But its alright. God has a plan for them.
• its so hot here. I just want to jump into a pool.

Some funny things that made me laugh:
• our ward mission leader gave us muffins for mothers day. Buttttt we forgot that he had told us that he put them under our car. So..... we accidentally ran right over them. Picture is included lol
• Last night we went to visit a member. She let us in and showed us all of her pets!! She has a PIG, 4 dogs, 4 chinchillas, 2 axelotls, a bunny, koi fish, and an iguana. Crazy. I got to hold a baby chinchilla
• The funniest memebr ever came into our relief society and quoted to all of us sister for mothers day a quote from a song by the beastie boys, " the disrespect against women has got to end..." and it goes on but i cant remeber loll. It made me giggle.

Drum roll pleaseπŸ₯πŸ₯πŸ₯πŸ₯πŸ₯Sister Rose time!!
I have been reading lots of talks about the priesthood keys this week. Everyone go back and watch this talk by President Nelson from this last conference.

Rejoice in the Gift of Priesthood Keys

I love this talk. We are so blessed to have the same power that Jesus Christ has when he was on the earth, on the earth again!! It means that our families can be sealed together for eternity!! Not just till death do we part. I am grateful for the gift of the priesthood keys!! Find out what that means for you this week.

I love yall
Sister Rose
