The One Where We Reactivate!!
Hey yall! Its been a good week. Not really much has happened, but we will update ya on some miracles!
Some happy things and what I learned from them:
• We have been really working on finding through our members and planning our days around inactive or struggling members! This week we got in contact with 2 inactive members and has lessons with them!! We gained really god relationships with them in the lessons and...... they came to church on Sunday! The ward really took them in and made them feel so welcomed! It was awesome!
• We got to go to Hoover Dam last P-day! It was so fun and we got to do the top secret tour because a member works there!! You get a lot of things for free as a missionary!
• We did a lot of biking this week which was super fun!! We actually found a few people from biking around and talking to everyone! Super cool!
• Our ward helped Dana move into a new place and dedicated her house after! It was so sweet and we didn't even plan it!! Love how they are taking her under their wing!!
• We got to go to the temple today to do sealings!! So fun! I love doing sealings!
• We had interviews with president this week and I am so happy and proud to announce that I DID NOT cry in this interview. First one that I haven't cried in!! Yes! Pat on the back for me!
Some hard things and what I learned from them:
• We have not been able to find a lot and a lot of our friends are not setting up lessons with us. So we are just at a stagnant place. Its hard when you don't have people to teach and you are in a finding rut. But, the work goes on and we just have to keep rely on God and trusting in Him.
• It hit 100 degrees for the first time this week. Dang that was hot and it just gets hotter from here!!
• We got a referral for a guy that has been taught for about 2 years and has never come to church or read the Book of Mormon. Just not a very progressing guy sadly. We biked all the way to his apartment and he cancels on us and says that he just drove out of the apartment complex. We were like what?!? This probably was not the most Christlike thing to do, but I got on the phone and guilt tripped him about our bikes and how we biked all the way to him!! So then he gives us the address to the laundromat that he was at and said that we can meet him there. Well its a 15 min bike ride. So we get on our bikes. Say "lets ride!". And start our trek! We get there and we have a short lesson and says that he still wont read the Book of Mormon!! So sad. Its literally the word of God! I literally love the Book of Mormon. The Bible and the Book of Mormon together just help me to know more about my Savior Jesus Christ!! I love it and I just want so badly for other people to be able to just try it and see how it changes their lives! But its ok. Not his time. But it wasn't wasted, we found some cool people on the way to the laundromat!
Some funny things that made me laugh:
• We got to weed a ladies front flower beds!! More weeding and street contacting lolll
• I think it's kinda funny that people just feel so comfortable with sharing all their life story, deepest darkest secrets, and literally everything about themselves to missionaries. People just love to dump on us! I'm like wow, I am only 20 years old, I met you two seconds ago, and your trustin me with this info?! Its kinda crazy. But I guess the spirit makes them feel very comfortable.
Drum roll please

Sister Rose time!!

Sister Rose time!!I love this scripture! Read it!
Helaman 5:12
And now, my sons, remember, remember that it is upon the rock of our Redeemer, who is Christ, the Son of God, that ye must build your foundation; that when the devil shall send forth his mighty winds, yea, his shafts in the whirlwind, yea, when all his hail and his mighty storm shall beat upon you, it shall have no power over you to drag you down to the gulf of misery and endless wo, because of the rock upon which ye are built, which is a sure foundation, a foundation whereon if men build they cannot fall.
As we build ourselves upon the rock of Jesus Christ, we can be firm in life. Firm in our happiness, firm in our faith, firm in our identity, and firm in our testimony!!
I love yall!
Sister Rose
