The One Where Everyday is Meaningful!!
Hey yall!
Another great week full of miracles. I am so grateful for every hard thing and good thing that I have been through on my mission. Everything has truly shaped me into the missionary I am now. I am beginning to see who and what God needs me to be and I still have a long way to go. I am grateful for change made possible by my Savior, Jesus Christ. Let's get into it.....
Some happy things and what I learned from them:
• YALL! Thank you for all your prayers for Dana! Every single one of your prayers were heard. She is getting baptized July 6th officially. AND she is SO excited. She literally did a little happy dance when our ward mission leader told us that the font had been scheduled!! I thank God everyday for allowing me to stay here for this long to be able to witness her conversion! She is truly so elect, so precious, so grateful for the gospel, and so ready and eager to be baptized and go to the temple!! I just love her. The Holy Ghost truly does convert and testify of truth!
• Our friend Amor is just so awesome !! We put him on date for July 14th last week and he just continues to show effort and eagerness to learn the gospel!! We have 3 lessons a week with him and it is just awesome!! I prayed for him this week as we taught him harder principles for people to learn, that he would be able to receive by the spirit and those lessons were the best! You could feel him learning and being testified to by the spirit. Love it!!
• We had zone conference this week and it was incredible as always. I love seeing the other missionaries in our mission. They are just the best.
• Our ward mission leader is the absolute best and took us out to get Pho this week. He is the best!! Kinda funny though, because we call it our din din date with him. He takes us out to eat a lot, because we never get meals in YSA lol.
• We decided to get ice cream during comp study yesterday and we walked in and these ladies looked sooo concerned for us because of how BEAT we looked from walking around. They bought our ice cream for us! SO precious!!
Some hard things and what I learned from them:
• One day this week I was feeling a little more irritable than normal and was feeling just a little annoyed in the morning. I learned (from Sister Gariety) that acknowledging my emotions and admitting it out loud to my companion is the best way for me to be able to change my mood and also have my comp be able to understand what I am feeling. Before my mission me could never, but I expressed to Sister Wright how I was feeling and we were able to talk about it and establish how she could help me and how I could help her. It was so cool. I am growing!!
• Pray for Amor. His phone and wallet go stolen on the way to church this week. So sad. But he still came. Our WML called us and reminded us that we can pray specifically for things and God will answer then in His will and way, but we CAN ask. So we asked that Amor would be able to find his phone and wallet. If yall want to join us in our prayers in that, that would be so powerful.
Some funny things that made me laugh:
• We made mood boards for some of our very ICONIC ward members this week and it is just amazing. I wish everyone could meet our ward members. They are just so iconic and mystical. I love them.
• We walked up to this guy who was cutting his bushes and as we walked up we realized that he was cutting his bushes with a full on KITCHEN knife!! anyways, he stops what he is doing and comes up and talks to us with the said kitchen knife in hand. Now he was a BIG ole hand talker so he's like swingin that knife around as he is talking with us ad it was honestly terrifying, I kept instinctively stepping back and flinching.
• One guy that we are teaching we were about to teach him about the word of wisdom and he walks up with an iced tea in hand. I was giggling to myself because it was just perfect timing. buttttt he took it well.
• I love hearing all the tea from our ward members on blooming romances, rejections, and all that. God knew that I needed a little bit of entertainment so he gave me this YSA ward!! I love it.
• Update: that blooming romance that I talked about last week is blooming very well. There may have been an arm around her in church and a head on his shoulder as well. We love to see it.
• I guess that some of my past comps have been spreading the info about me that every one of my rando prayers are answered to a "T". That's so funny to me. I pray very often that I will be able to find or see random things in my day or that I will be able to find things that I lose. and it is so true, God truly does answer my silly prayers. You can ask Him anything!!
Drum roll please

Sister Rose time!!

Sister Rose time!!I was reading in Ether 15 this week and it is just astounding to see how much war and fighting and bloodshed there is in the land. They just can never seem to get along. In verses 20-26, all they do is sleep and fight. Literally noting else, it got me thinking about my own life. How many times do we just waste our existence and each and every day to the nonsense of Satan and laziness? I feel like a lot of my days I let waste away and I don't improve. BUT there is a REASON why we have each and every day that we have on this earth. Each day can and will be important, meaningful, and life changing as we make it that. I want to be more mindful with my time this week and not let any day that I have to become more like Christ and use His atonement go to waste!! Will you do that with me? I can promise that we will be able to feel more joy everyday!!
I love yall!
