The One Where God Answers Prayers in His Timing

Hey yall!! This week has been a great week. I hit 8 months on the mish. Crazy. Lets get into it.....

Some happy things and what I learned from them:
• one of our very very elect friends had ghosted us for quite some time. It made me very sad. BUT this week she texted us and apologized and showed up to church again!! We have been praying so so hard for her. All in the Lords timing. She came around!!
• We set a goal monday morning to talk to 50 people in the day. We got to the end of the night and needed to start walking back to our car. We were only at 47 people talked to. I said a quick prayer out loud to be able to talk to 3 more people as we walked back to our car. We talked to 2 people as we walked back and I was like ok awesome 49 is good enough. But then as we got to our car, we noticed a guy in his garage literally right by our car! God provided and answered our prayers. He helped us meet our goal!! Yay!
• I love watching Sister Wright get so so excited when we find a new person or something awesome happens! It reminds me to be joyful and let every miracle have its moment!! I love it!
• we had an awesome lesson with our friend Guillermo. We are excited to keep teaching him! We are gonna invite him to be baptized this week! So stay tuneddd!
• we got to bring cookies to some struggking members and recent converts! That was so fum to serve them!
•I had a prompting one morning to pray to know if the plans that we had in were correct while we were planning. I got guidance that I needed to change an area to going on campus at NSU instead. It was at a time that campus would be dead, but I decided to take the chance. We planned it in. We got there at that time and there was no one on campus. Oop. But we decided to still take a lap around the campus. As we did, we saw a girl get out of her car. I almost asked her if she wanted to hear a scripture, but then got a prompting to ask her about her day and get to know her first. So i did. Then at the end I asked her if she wanted to grow her faith in Christ and she said she did. It was so cool. Then we talked to another guy. And we found him as well. Wow. The only two people we talked to on campus, we found. God is good. Follow promptings!!

Some hard things and what I learned from them:
• It officialy hit 110 degrees this week. BRUTAL. But I am learning that if you just deal with it and just keep walking it doesnt hurt as bad.
• Some days its hard to get out of bed. But i have learned that if i just start, it gets a lot better. In life we just gotta make the first move. Make the first step. Motivation follows.

Some funny things that made me laugh:
• yall literally I cant make this up. Another guy hit on me for my eyes. So we asked a guy if he wanted to hear a scripture and he said yes. So I read it, explained it and then asked what stuck out to him. He goes, "nothing stuck out to me, i got lost in your eyes." I was like, "ok bye sir, have a great day" and he says, "Oh i make one comment about your eyes and you have to go?!" Yes sir, thats how it works.
• We did service with our district for the salvation army. We packaged produce and let me tell you. That almost made me vomit on several occasions. There was a lot of very rotten fruit and vegetables. But all in all, we had a good time, I didnt vomit, and we got to serve people.
• We met a lady that truly believes that the earth is flat. That was a first for me.
•  A member that we stopped by let us hold their baby tortoises. I almost bought one right there and had it sent to Georgia. Not kidding.

Drum roll pleaseπŸ₯πŸ₯πŸ₯πŸ₯πŸ₯Sister Rose time!!
We had interviews with President this week! He talked to me about how prayer and worship our interchangeable. He asked me to make my time of prayer a time or worship to my Heavenly Father. I have been thinking a lot about what this means to me. I think for me this means gratitude for me. Making sure that I give all the glory to God. It reminds me of in Alma 26:35

"Now have we not reason to rejoice? Yea, I say unto you, there never were men that had so great reason to rejoice as we, since the world began; yea, and my joy is carried away, even unto boasting in my God; for he has all power, all wisdom, and all understanding; he comprehendeth all things, and he is a merciful Being, even unto salvation, to those who will repent and believe on his name."

I want to invite you guys to use your time of prayer as a time of worship. I can promise as you do that, that your prayers will become more meaningful and you will be able to see the miracles of God more abundantly in your life.

I love yall!
Sister Rose
