The One Where The Temple is so Cute!!
Hey yall!!
This week was a great week full of change and so so many miracles!! Its been such a blast!! Let's get into it.....
Some happy things and what I learned from them:
• Our friend Guillermo has been not feeling very confident about his baptism. But this week he told us that he got his answer!! His friend had a vision and told him about this vision and he said that it was his answer!! He said he is going to be baptized on August 14th!! So awesome!! And then we taught him about the temple and he said that he wanted to live there!! Hahahaha. He went to church finally and loved it!! So excited for him. Keep praying for Guillermo!!
• We have been doing lessons with a returning member in our ward and she decided to invite her friend who is going on a mission soon. He then invited one of their nonmember friends and she is really searching for how she feels the spirit and wants to keep learning! She also cam to church on Sunday!! Miracle!
• A while back we had helped this guy Carson move into his new apartment. We decided to go and invite him to church the other day and he said yes!! He doesn't have a faith in God, but we asked him hat believing in God could help him with. This was so precious... he goes "I guess it would make me a lot less lonely" awwwww. He came to church!!
• I have missed living with 4 sisters so much!! We now have Sister Jackman and Sister Palmer in our apartment and it is SUCH a party!! I literally love them!! Sister Palmer is such a joyful and hilarious Sister and Sister Jackman is just the kindest and sweetest sister ever! I love them!!
• We had interviews with President and Sister Vance. It was so good and so uplifting. I love and look up to them so much!! He talked with me about actually becoming more Christlike instead of just masking your inner emotions with kindness. I have a lot to work on, but I have also come a long way and it is cool to look back at my journal and see me changing.
• Sister Seibold (my trainer) came to visit!! So fun!
Some hard things and what I learned from them:
• I have been feeling a little bit of burn out recently. Especially towards the end of last transfer. Sometimes it is so hard to just do it, but I know I need to, so I do. Not having a change in my days is difficult, and having my focus and attention always and 100% on my purpose has felt difficult and exhausting. But, the Lord truly has helped me to feel more joy this. Having the sisters move in, splitting the ward, and bringing us so many miracle friends has helped me so much this week. I am so grateful to just have change and help with the burn out. I can do this, Jesus died for me and lives, so I can help God's children to learn about that joyful message. Christ has even felt this for me.
• I felt super stressed with the split and being an STL at the beginning of this week. But I decided that I needed to calm down and just pray. so i did. I have never felt that much peace. It was powerful. I am grateful that I am learning slowly how to trust in the Lord.
Some funny things that made me laugh:
• When we taught our friend Guillermo about the temple, he said that the temple was "so cute!!" SO so funny and the we told him that we would do a temple trip right after he is baptized and he goes, "Ill bring the sandwiches!" So precious.
• Sister Wright and I are even more unhinged now that we have other sisters living with us. Both of us just love attention and now we have it lol. Its like we are doing a comedy bit at all times.
• One of our members comes up to shake my hand at church and he grabs my hand and swings it back and forth to the left and right. weirdest feeling ever. He is so out of pocket.
• We were and we saw this toy car out on the side of the road. Honestly I was about to go sit in it and then we got closer and we realized that it was being used as a cat litter box and had some fresh cat feces in it. Great. Picture included (your'e welcome mom)
• We were warning and telling the sisters about our hilariously precious ward when they first got here. It has been so fun to introduce the other sisters to our ward. Every person that they meet, they just instantly show their true colors of unique, quirkiness and I just think to myself "Right on que..." I just cant even explain to you how quirky this ward is. You simply can't put it into words.
• We knocked a door and a lady was doing a breathing treatment and answered the door with a breathing mask on and we had no idea what she said. She shut the door and then we went to go knock a door down the hall. All of a sudden we hear gurgling, snorting, and heavy breathing. My first thought was that it was the LADY! I got so terrified. I look across the hall and its the sweetest little bulldog standing looking at us and making the noises. Legit made me almost pee my pants laughing.
Drum roll please

Sister Rose time!!

Sister Rose time!!This week I studied a lot about my baptismal covenants (or promises) that I made at baptism. I was able to bare my testimony a lot abut how they ave changed my life. I have promised at baptism to keep God's commandments, always remember Jesus Christ, serve others, and take Christ's name upon me. And God promises us back that we can always have His spirit to be with me. His spirit helps me in all aspects of my life. It helps me to feel joy, even when I feel overwhelmed. It helps me to discern when something will hinder or help me. It helps me to know truth from error. It helps me to be able to feel and know that my Heavenly Father loves me and cares about me. I would not be where I am without my baptismal promise that I have made with my Heavenly Father. I am so grateful for my Savior Jesus Christ and he invited me specifically to make that covenant and sowed me how to live my life, so of course I will do that and strive to keep my covenants, because my Heavenly Father and Jesus Christ only want the best for me. In the name of Jesus Christ. Amen.
I love yall!
Sister Rose
