The One Where I'm the New Sister in Town

Hey yall! It has been such an amazing week, not gonna lie. I miss YSA, but I also couldn´t have been ut in a better area than this for me at this time in my mission. I am growing and learning and thriving so much. Let's get into it......

Some happy things and what I learned from them:
• We started off the week with zero people on date for baptism and ended the week with 3 people on date for September! Incredible! 3 souls being brought to Christ. Most of them are families where some of them aren't baptized and they now have a desire to be!! YAY!! We love o see it!!
• Tegan is a little 12 year old who is literally so adorable!! He is going to be baptized September 21st. we taught him about baptism and he was SO excited! He also gave us a 3D printed owl after the lesson. I have never taught kids before, but I have now taught 3 little kids this week and it is the most fun thing ever!!
• Renee is SO awesome! She has a step son that is a member, and they referred her to missionaries, but she wasn't ready then. She said she would call when she was ready. SHE CALLED about a month ago and said she was ready. She is going to be baptized September 7th. She even has her own journal book of Mormon. So dorbs.
• Damion, his wife is a member, and we met him outside and we didn't know that. We talked with him about baptism and asked if he had the desire to be baptized. He did! Then we find out later that his wife and kids are members!! Crazy miracle!! He is on date for September 14th.
• The members here are just the best ever!! They are so involved in the work and just so kind to us! They are so aware of our needs and are always asking if they can help us. I look up to them so much!! I want to be that for the missionaries in my wards after.
• I love my companion, Sister Liljenquist. It took me a while to be able to pronounce her name, but now I am able to call her by her name to her face.

Some hard things and what I learned from them:
• Wow! I have not been in a family ward sacrament meeting since I was 3 months into my mission. crazy. We went to our three sacrament meetings on Sunday and immediately when we sit down and I look at all the cute families with all their kids and parents I just start tearing up. I missed my family. It was weird, because I have never really been sad about that on my mission, but seeing all the people with their families got to me. I am just so grateful that I get to be with my family FOREVER!! I love them so much!
• I have been feeling a little stressed with learning te new area, but it has been good for the most part. The days go by so fast, because I feel like we never have enough time for anything. Which is a good problem to have!

Some funny things and what I learned from them:
• I don't know if I should putting this out here in the public for everyone to see and China to somehow get ahold of me and arrest me, but I learned this week that being baptized in China is actually very illegal, even for foreigners. Thats kinda crazy because as some of you may know, I was i fact baptized in China. (No I wasn't China government) So I am illegal.
• I have gotten asked if I like peaches more times than ever before in my life. Because I am from Georgia. My answer was always no until..... I tried peaches for the first time in 10 years yesterday and guess what tehe..... I like them. Awkward.
• A guy referred himself online with the name "Your Moms favorite Rapper" So we did ask him on the phone if it was indeed "your mom's favorite rapper" It was a funny giggle moment.
• I keep thinking I am in YSA and scoping out that aged people on the streets, but really everyone we talk to is actually people we can teach. Weird adjustment

Drum roll please🥁🥁🥁🥁🥁Sister Rose time!!
Go read this talk and tell me your thoughts. It hit this week!

Behold the Lamb of God

I love yall!
Sister Rose
