The One Where I Have a Screw Loose

Hey yall!! Sorry to all my fans that I didn't send an email last week. Hahaha jk no one even noticed. But these weekly emails do make me feel like I'm updating my fans lolll. It was a good week. Let's get into it.......

Some happy things and what I learned from them:
• We had exchanges a TON this week. I was with a new sister that came in like a week ago. Her name is Sister Pututau. She literally is one of the sweetest sisters! I love her so much! She has been struggling a little with feeling confident in her abilities as a missionary. She really is such a good missionary though, but talking to strangers is hard at the beginning! But we had this lesson with a less active member and his wife. He had told us to teach the plan of salvation, because her mom had died that year. So we did. It was a powerful lesson and Sister Pututau had lost her dad this year, so she was able to relate and bear powerful testimony. It was amazing. I told Sister Pututau that it was no coincidence that she was here for this lesson and that she was needed. She just started crying and was so grateful that she was able to convey by the spirit what she wanted to say.
• On another exchange this week, Sister Clement and I were biking home and we rode by this dude. I felt prompted that we needed to talk to him, even though we were late. I asked him if he wanted to hear a scripture and he said no. But then I asked if any of his friends would want to come to church with us. He stopped for a sec and then said YES! This guys name was Eddy and he had a friend who has been looking for a church. And turns out that Eddy is a less active member and has been thinking about coming back to church!! Yay we got his number! Finding the lost sheep!
• We had dinner with THE sweetest family this week! The Gardineers! They have a daughter who us thinking about going to Utah State and I hyped that place up so much that she pretty much made her mind that she's going to USU. YASSSS AGGIES ALL THE WAY!
• Our relief society president, Sister Chamberlain, from Peru made us Lomo Saltado and I was in absolute HEAVEN!! Fav food! I miss Freakin Incan in GA
• We found kid in our PMG app that has requested a Book of Mormon online like 3 months ago but he didn't ever get it. We called him up and asked if he still wanted it and he did!! He also had a friend on a mission whose family is in our ward!! So cool! We got him his Book of Mormon and he is SO excited to read it! We passed him off to the YSA though, because I know what its like in the YSA ward! We're excited for Cooper!!

Some hard things and what I learned from them:
• We have been on that finding grind for the past couple weeks! Sometimes its long treacherous days, but really I have seen so many miracles in all the little things! Like a cute flower on the side walk, or some fun biking moments with Sister Tripp, or some great pictures!! I really love this life.
• Some plans that I made for after my mission didn't work out like I hoped it would. But its ok. I know that God has a better plan for me. Its all gonna work out.

Some funny things that made laugh:
• We had Mission Leadership Council yesterday. We got ready to go and my STL companion and I were both wearing blue and white dresses!! Then we get to MLC and the Zone leaders in our zone are ALSO wearing blue ties and white shirts!! So we had to take a picture. Included below.
• We walked out of a member's house after teaching a lesson and they close the door. I wave bye as I am walking away and I didn't realize that there was a step!! So I completely biffed it. Humbling, to say the least....
• At the same members house, we asked them to critique the lesson and give us some input. The little girl looks at me and goes "you need to stop stealing the spotlight." Okkkk what!? Sister Tripp and I both agreed that to was one of the most even times we have taught!! Hahhaha. Okkkk. Sister Tripp is new!! Give us a breakkk lol
• The elders who live in our apartment complex asked us uf they could use the gym and we compromised and said they could use it some of the days. To thank us for being fair they made us fudge and it was so precious lol.
• We locked our keys in our apartment this week. Good thing we have roommates and they saved us.
• A few weeks ago I saw an alan wrench on the ground and I picked it up and put it in my bag. Sister Tripp made fun of me and I was like "one day I'm gonna need this thing!" Then I cleaned out my bag and I took the alan wrench out and put it in our toolbox in our apartment. Then I was using another sisters bike on exchanges and we were riding and all of the sudden her handlebars started to loosen and started falling off of the bike!! And guess what tool would have fixed it?! AN ALAN WRENCH! But I had taken it out of my bag. So sad. Dang. Didn't follow that prompting. But its ok I just had to keep riding and prayin they wouldn't fall off.

Drum roll pleaseπŸ₯πŸ₯πŸ₯πŸ₯πŸ₯ Sister Rose time!!
This week I have been thinking about seeking the spirit a lot. This scripture stuck out to me a lot: 1 Nephi 10:17
"And it came to pass after I, Nephi, having heard all the words of my father, concerning the things which he saw in a vision, and also the things which he spake by the power of the Holy Ghost, which power he received by faith on the Son of God—and the Son of God was the Messiah who should come—I, Nephi, was desirous also that I might see, and hear, and know of these things, by the power of the Holy Ghost, which is the gift of God unto all those who diligently seek him, as well in times of old as in the time that he should manifest himself unto the children of men."

God gives us the spirit as we seek him diligently! An amazing gift! Find how to seek God more diligently in your life this week!!!

I love yall!
