The One Where We Got Confetti to the Face

Hey yall! It was such a funny week! I just thoroughly enjoyed every moment. I love those kind of weeks!! Lets get into it........

Some happy things and what I learned from them:
• We decided to knock a member's door that no one had gotten in contact with ever and was a do not contact. We decided to try our luck and guess what?! A new guy had moved in named Tyler. His dad was a member, but wasn't active and therefore Tyler had never been baptized. But Tyler is at a point in his life where he needs God. He said that his life hasn't been goin so great without Him, so he wants try it out with Him. Tyler came to church on sunday and loved it. e said he felt peace and felt good when he got home and while he was there. I love the spirit. I will tell more about him in the funny section. Because he is a hoot. He wants to be baptized on November 3oth!! Yay for Tyler!
• Veronica bought her first dress and wore it on sunday. She looked so beautiful and looked so happy! She said that she has felt the spirit sooo strong since her baptism!! She looks different. She looks happier and brighter. I love the spirit!
• We have been really focusing on gratitude to God this week. Everytime we notice a miracle, big or small, we say a prayer. I have been able to feel os much joy and feel so strengthened throughout this week because of those prayers.
• We went on exchanges this week and I got to learn from Sister Broberg!! I was so excited for this exchange, because she is a few transfers older than me in the mission. I learned so much about connecting with people and helping them feel loved by their Savior.

Some hard things and what I learned from them:
• I very much get frustrated when people tell us that they are not interested without letting us meet even one time. I just don't get. I feel like God deserves at least a practice run. But Satan knows that that practice run would get em, so he doesn't allow that. Anyways. Just gotta pray for them. They don't know what they're missing.

Some funny things that made me laugh:
• We went to go get in contact with an inactive member that we have been thinking about lately. We go knock the door and somebody yells, "WAIT a second!" and so we wait. well like 2 min go by and then somebody's body presses against the door and no one answers. Then they open the door and stick out confetti cannons and explode them at us lollll. I was like "awww how did they know we were coming!". They were not expecting us, they thought e were their family that was coming in town loll.
• A guy who was very drunk told me thta he liked my teeth and that I had a beautiful smile. Um.... weird.
• Sister Tripp and I found an office chair on the side of the road. We had to grab it, because my chair before was literally so trash. Everyone in our apartment calls it the tree stump. So now I have a new chair. It was fun proselyting with that thing as we were taking it to our car.
• During Tylers lesson we went to go find a table and benches, but 3 of the four benches had been stolen. But we made due. I stack two big ole rocks and sat on that. Sister Tripp sat on a cardboard box. My eyes were just above the height of the table and we put him on date for baptism. Great set up...... my butt hurt so bad the entire lesson lol.
• Tyler quotes:
     - "Lowkey might join for the health benefits"
     - "Church was very religious"
     - "My life's not goin so well right now, so mine as well believe in Jesus" Facts.
• A lady told us that our church would have a lo more people if we dropped the "no wine thing" lol. God says, not us!
• We got locked out of an apartment complex and we saw a security guard. We asked him if he wanted to come to church with us. He said maybe and then said "I secure this place. do you need to get in?" and then lets us in the gate lol.
• We had a bed making competition at zone conference and I WON!! yasss
• Vernica said she wants a shirt that says "get filled" because she has felt so filled since her baptism!! So funny. She said she is designing one soon. Stay tuned.
• it was just a funny week! I love it!! Missionary work is hilarious and just so fulfilling!

Drum roll pleaseπŸ₯πŸ₯πŸ₯πŸ₯πŸ₯Sister Rose time!!
I have been thinking a lot about thsi quote from President Nelson this week. Listen to this:

" My brothers and sisters, I plead with you to make time for the Lord! Make your own spiritual foundation firm and able to stand the test of time by doing those things that allow the Holy Ghost to be with you always." (Make Time for the Lord, Oct 2021 GC)

Do you make time for the Lord? Not just nonchalantly have time, but MAKE time.

I love yall!
Sister Rose
