The One Where It is Christmas

Hey yall! It has been a bit! But MERRY CHRISTMAS!! I love yall so much and hope you have had an amazing Christ centered Christmas. Last week I didn't get an email out, so I will be covering two weeks. Also, last week I got transferred to Kingman, Arizona. It is kinda the booneys and I love it!! Let's get into it......

Some happy things and what I learned from them:
• We got a media referral a couple weeks ago in my last area. Her name was Ivonne. We called her and she was SO happy to talk to us! She said that she saw a facebook add and just felt drawn to it! She clicked on it, even thought she never usually does that. We went to have a lesson with her and it was the most I have ever felt the spirit in my life. She just kept stopping us and saying how much she felt the spirit and knew that what we were saying was true! It was incredible!! She cleared her schedule for the next day and came to church!!
• Ja'juan is a miracle as well!! She was street contacted by elders in another mission and they said a prayer with her and invited her to church. She was so excited to come! She really enjoyed church and just kept commenting on how she felt so welcomed!! She told us that she would for sure be back again! We also got to go to a Christmas concert by Jenny Oaks Baker her and her friend Kristine.
• At that concert we were walking in to the concert and I looked to my left and saw my bestest friend ever, Rose Dana!! From the foothills YSA ward!! WOW! we ran to each other and hugged each other. That made my entire life! Love you RoseDana!
• Since transfer day it has been a whirlwind. Lots of chaos, but so fun! My new companion is Sister Latu and she is seriously so funny! She makes me laugh so hard.
• I love our wards so much! They have been spoiling us so much for Christmas.
• This is my second and last Christmas on the mission and it is so much better than last year!! I have loved getting to testify of Christ everyday for this whole year!!
• We made a baptismal calendar with our friend Linda that we have been teaching here in Kingman! She is so excited to get baptized!!
• We had Christmas conference this week and we got to see so many missionaries!!
• We also had Mission leadership council. Fun times.

Some hard things and what I learned from them:
• It's always kinda stressful going to a new area and new companion, but I have been adjusting pretty good. The first few days felt like I was just gonna explode, but it got better.
• We had to move apartments like 3 times when we first got here. It was chaos to say the least. Then we didn't even go shopping and so we lived off scraps for like a whole week.

Some funny things that made me laugh:
• The difference between this area and my last area is crazy!! I went from rich rich, to pretty dang humble. I love it. It's just really funny.
• I get to drive a truck out here. It is awesome! I feel so cool and Sister Latu keeps making fun of me for how much I talk about the truck and get so excited to drive it.
• We have been biking a lot tis week! Sister Latu has been such a good sport. I pedal ahead and then wait for her as she catches up lol. We look like a mess.
• We played pickleball with our district last night. Elder Smith was in my district once before and tried so many times to beat me at pickleball. And now we are back in the same district and the competition has begun again!! He's pretty good, but he won't beat me.

Drum roll pleaseπŸ₯πŸ₯πŸ₯πŸ₯πŸ₯Sister Rose time!!
This Christmas I have really been focusing on te names of Christ and what He is to me! I love tsi verse!
Isaiah 9:6 "For unto us a child is born, unto us a son is given: and the government shall be upon his shoulder: and his name shall be called Wonderful, Counsellor, The mighty God, The everlasting Father, The Prince of Peace."

Jesus Christ is everything for everyone, if we let Him. He is a counselor and can listen and help us to heal. This year he really has been my Prince of Peace. As I look to Him, I have been able to find peace in knowing that He is with me, knows me, and sees my efforts!! Who is He to you?

I love yall!
Sister Rose
