The One Where We Get Creative
Hey yall! Another week! It was a miraculous week! Let's get into it........
Some happy things and what I learned from them:
• Ahhhhh our friend Adhan is so amazing! She wants to be baptized but has not been able to come to church because she works on Sundays. We taught her the restoration yesterday and she ABSOLUTELY loved it!! She told us that she qas so grateful that she found the right church! She asked her boss last week for Sundays off and he let her know today that she can have an hour and a half off to go to church!!!! Ahhhhh we have been praying so hard for her yayyyy!!!
• We have been trying to help thos part member household to feel loved and welcomed. But it has been hard to get to them. Yesterday we decided to heart attack their door and right notes and scriptures. So we did!! The non member husband texted us and thanked us for doing that because they had had a really hard day!! Ughhh so awesome!! They asmed us for scriptures and talk to read and listen to!! God is preparing people
• A family with unbaptized youth came to church on Sunday!! We asked if we could come over to get to know them more and they said yes!! The kids were soooo cute and so happy to have us over. And the daughter wants to be baptized! Yay! God is preparing people!
• We had such a spirit filled lesson with this part member household in another sisters area. We have been setting up "practice" lessons with these families to help us get in the door. We taught the gospel of Jesus Christ and it was so powerful!! The non member husband said that he cant wait to have us back again!!
• It snowed in Kingman Arizona yesterday!! Pretty epic. Didn't think that would happen on my mission when I got called to Las Vegas. I almost didn't even bring a coat.
Some hard things and what I learned from them:
• we got bashed by my first basher in Kingman. But those guys got nothing on us. We know the truth. We just gotta kill them with kindness.
• I have been a little stressed this transfer, but I am also having a blast. Good mix. God is good.
Some funny things that made me laugh:
• One morning we were walking around and literally had a whole petting zoo as we walked to each house. There was pigs, cats, dogs, chickens. I had to pet all of them. Super funny.
• On exchanges me and Sister Osorio decided to face our fears of dogs in the front gates. So we knocked a couple houses who had dogs that looked friendly in their front fence area surrounding their front door. It was kinda terrifying but we survived with no battle wounds.
• Elder Kearon told us a story about how these two missionaries were creative in finding when they were really hungry for dinner but had none. They knocked on a door and said "we are disciples of Jesus Christ, and we are hungry" and the lady literally fed them and then later got baptized. I really had to pee one night and we decided to give this a shot. We knocked on a door and go, " we are representatives of Jesus Christ and we need to use the bathroom". She let us right in. It was a pretty dang nasty house. But it did have a toilet, so I used it. She wasn't interested but hey mems am I right?
Drum roll please

Sìster Rose time!!

Sìster Rose time!! I was reading Alma 24-25 this week. It just amazes me that faith and confidence that the Anti Nephi Lehites had to lay down their weapons of war forever and covenant to never take up arms again. Then even when faced with death, they still hold out faithful to their covenants. So powerful. Go read that chapter and think about what are your weapons of war?
I love yall!
