She's Home!!! Welcome Home Sister Rose
What an AMAZING day!!! There's nothing like seeing your child come off the airplane after not seeing her for 18 months! It was so funny because we got there early and we were all ready and there is a big screen showing people as they come off the escalator. Well we were all set up on the side Emma was supposed to come out and all of a sudden the screen showed her walking off the other side!!!!! So we had to make a mad dash to be there when she came out :) It was so fun to give her a squeeze! I'm so proud of all the hard work and dedication she had. She was an amazing missionary and I know these 18 months have changed her for good. It was so fun having my mom here!
We couldn't get over the fact that Eva is taller than Emma now! Wow how things change!
It was so funny because right as Gavin was getting Emma's suitcase off the conveyer belt it POPPED open!!!! ha ha ha it made it through Luke's mission and Emma's and it gave up on the final day! I'm so glad it made it as long as it did! ha ha ha. I guess Gavin won't be using it :) ha ha ha
Good thing Gavin is strong, he carried it like this to the car :) ha ha ha
It was so fun to see the dogs get so excited to see Emma....and for her to see them. Rainey is getting old so we were praying she would be here when Emma came home.
Emma's request for her first meal home was the Freakin Incan.
And then we went to President Watson's house to have her released. It was so special to hear her talk about the things she learned, the companions she loved, and most especially how her relationship with the Savior has grown. What a special day!!!
It broke my heart to watch her take off her name badge that she has worn everyday for 18 months. I know it was hard for her. What an amazing sacrifice and labor of love for the Savior! Well done Emma, I know Heavenly Father is pleased!
